I address the spiritual negligence of modern youth, specifically the "last-born" children who have abandoned their traditional roles.

The Burden of the Last-Born

As the last-born child in your family, you hold a specific spiritual office that you cannot simply ignore. You are meant to be the custodian of the home and the one who handles the sacrificial knife, yet many of you have become foolish and fearful of your own traditions. If you cannot even slaughter a goat for a ritual, you are failing in your fundamental duty to your lineage.

Reclaiming the Sacrificial Knife

I am telling you to go and demand that knife and learn how to perform the necessary offerings and rituals. Without these practices, you will remain stuck, constantly kneeling before foreign influences and unable to progress. You are the "Priest" of your father’s house; it is your responsibility to maintain the spiritual gateway for your family and your community.

The Tradition of the Wachagga

Take a lesson from the old Wachagga; even those who lived in the city to seek wealth knew they had to return home. To this day, many successful individuals return to their ancestral lands every few months to offer "pombe" (traditional brew) and milk to the elders and ancestors. They understand that when things get difficult, it is because the spirits at home have been neglected.

The Consequences of Desertion

The success of certain groups is tied directly to the fact that they have not abandoned their customs and traditions. Meanwhile, you read your "holy books" like a parrot, ignoring the warnings written within them. You are being mocked, looked down upon, and enslaved by other nations precisely because you have forsaken your own "Ruamange" (God/Spirit) for a deity your ancestors never knew.

Identifying the Oppressed

Ask yourself: who is it that is truly being belittled, taken into a modern form of slavery, and discarded? It isn't the Mzungu (white person) or the Arab; it is the African who has abandoned his own source of power. By turning your back on your heritage, you have left yourself vulnerable and without the spiritual protection that your forefathers relied upon.

Returning to the Boma

If you were born in the city but are the last-born, your place is at the "Boma" (family compound). You are the one who should be receiving guests and performing the welcoming rituals for your sister’s children or your uncles. It is a tragedy that you run away from a simple chicken being slaughtered just because you grew up in town—wake up and reclaim your position.
