I discuss a distressing video sent to me from Rombo, Kilimanjaro, where an elder is being evicted by the Catholic Church based on colonial-era land surveys. I use this example to explain how foreign religions continue to dominate African resources and minds
The Call from Rombo.
I received a video recently from the Rombo district in the Kilimanjaro region that deeply disturbed me. In the footage, an elderly man who was practically tearing his clothes in grief was cursing and crying out because a large church, which I refer to as the "Mother Church," had taken his land. This organization appeared with documents claiming they have owned the land for over 70 years, dating back to the 1950s, essentially rendering the man homeless on the soil his family believed was theirs.
The Strategy of the Mother Church.
This situation perfectly illustrates what I call "Mother Church," which falls under the Sixth Gate of our upcoming lessons. Even though this man and his community were building their lives there, the church produced colonial-era maps to claim the territory. It is a harsh reminder that while you believe you own your country, these institutions have paperwork and systems set up by their predecessors to claim ownership of the very earth beneath your feet whenever they choose.
Africans Frying in Their Own Oil.
The most painful part of this reality is seeing how the system works: they use our own people against us. I saw police and officials harassing this elder, yet they are fellow Africans. It reminds me of the saying that we are being "fried in our own oil." We have been turned into tools to oppress one another on behalf of foreign powers and foreign gods, acting as remote-controlled entities rather than sovereign people.
The Root of Our Poverty.
I want you to understand that this is why Africans remain poor despite sitting on the richest continent on earth. We have abandoned our ancestral spirits to worship the gods of the visitors gods whose ancestors enslaved ours. By creating a spiritual bond with these foreign entities through their churches and courts, we have accepted a status of servitude. We are spiritually bankrupt because we are praying to the ancestors of those who colonized us.
The Call to Return to Origin.
My advice remains consistent: you must stop running around to "waganga" (witch doctors) and cease crying in these churches. Both are leading you astray. The only way to break these chains is to return to your origins and acknowledge the spirits of your own ancestors. You are suffering because you have disconnected yourselves from your lineage to serve a system that was designed to dispossess you, just like that man in Rombo.
Upcoming Lessons and Elections.
We will dive deeper into the "Mother Church" and the Sixth Gate when classes resume. However, I am pausing the start of the official lessons until the current election cycle concludes. I do not want to teach while people are distracted by voting. We will begin officially on November 1st. Until then, consider these voice notes as "dodos" (small snacks) to keep your mind active while we wait for the political noise to settle.
